eLong Membership and Loyalty Points Program

New Users

        • 1,000 points will be credited to your account after your first confirmed flight reservation or first non-prepaid hotel reservation.

Membership Upgrades

        • Members with 3,000 points automatically become VIP members.

        • Members with 20,000 points automatically become Elite members. Elite membership lasts for 2 years, after which time it is lowered to VIP status unless the member has accumulated a further 20,000 points within the 2-year period.

Accumulating Basic Points

        • For China hotel reservations, you receive 1 point for each RMB paid for room rates at the hotel. Pre-paid rooms, service fees and additional charges are not credited.

        • For Airline reservations, you receive 0.25 points for each RMB of total ticket price, which includes base fare, plus taxes, fees and insurance, if applicable.

        • No points are earned for reservations through the “International Hotel” or “Extra Services" channels on our web site.

Reservation Multipliers

        • Basic member: receives basic points X 1

        • VIP member: receives basic points X 1.5

        • Elite member: receives basic points X 2

Points Validity Period      

        • Basic member points are valid for one year. VIP and Elite member points are valid for 2 years.

        • Unclaimed points will be deducted at the end of the quarter immediately following the expiration date.

        • Points about to be expired can be checked in "My Account".

How Points Are Credited      

        • For hotel reservations, reward points will usually be credited to your account after your stay and checkout is confirmed by the hotel.

        • For flight reservations, reward points will usually be credited to your account 24 hours after the flight departure.

Points Deduction

        • If you fail to show up for a reserved room without prior cancellation, the corresponding points will be deducted from your account.

        • If you refund a ticket after the flight departure, the points earned for this ticket will be deducted from your account.

Important Notes:       

        • If a reservation is modified, reward points will be credited according to the final booking status.

        • If, after reserving online, you modify the booking through our call center, reward points will be calculated according to rules for phone reservations.

        • Reward points from multiple accounts under the same name can be combined. This is usually accomplished by transferring points to one account and deleting the other. The original points’ expiration dates will not be changed.

        • eLong reserves the right of explanation, modification and revocation of these policies within the limits of applicable laws.
